Venetian blind - Guide wire

Venetian blind - Guide wire

£85.00Price

Guide wired blinds are designed for fixing to areas which are not vertical, ie Narrowboat cabin sides. The walls of narrowboats are usually sloping into the cabin area, the guide wires allow the blind to follow this slope.

These blinds are secured at the head rail at both sides and are secured at the bottom of the blind (at both sides) to the cabin wall via a guide wire that guides the blind at a constant distance from the cabin side. These are suitable for sloping walls or even ceilings.

The width of the slats is 25mm.

There are two controls for these blinds. The raise control is on the right, and is supplied with a safety cleat which is to be installed to the cabin wall. The slats tilting control is on the left and is a clear plastic wand.

  • Product Info

These are Aluminium Venetian blinds and come in a variety of colours. The head rail (this is at the top of the blind and contains the workings as well as supending the blind slats) and the bottom bar, are colour co-ordinated to the blind slats. The ladder string which support the slats and the control cord (which raises the blind) are also colour co-ordinated.

The tilting of the slats is performed with the use of a clear plastic wand. This is kept to a short length which helps prevent it hanging into the cabin.

Guide wires run down each side of the blind and are secured to the head rail at the top, and secured to the cabin side, at the bottom. These wires are installed under tension and the slats slide over the wires and they remain parallel to the cabin side as the blind is raised and lowered.
